Fire Alert: Protect Your Lungs in Moss Landing

A big fire hit the Moss Landing Battery Plant recently. Authorities told everyone to evacuate right away and close all entry points to their homes. Chemical fires can make your eyes and nose hurt at low concentrations. At higher concentrations, it can be hard to breathe and may even permanently damage the lungs. So, it's crucial to be careful and follow the evacuation orders. To protect your lungs, close windows and doors, and turn off air systems. If you can, wear an N95 mask, but it might not block all chemical particles. The best thing to do is stay indoors and evacuate if told to do so. Our lungs are resilient but don't grow back, so it's important to keep them safe. It's better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to your health.
