Fall Fest: A Day to Celebrate Farmers and Their Harvest
North Idaho, Hayden,Wednesday, October 2, 2024
But the Fall Fest isn't just about fun; it's also about supporting local farmers. Take Cindy Weston from TerraTopia farm, for instance. She sells fresh goat cheese and other goodies. "Some days are busier than others," she says, with a smile that hints at how much she enjoys the bustle of market days like this one. Scott Probert from Royal Highlands farm agrees. He's been selling his produce here for years and loves seeing people appreciate what he grows.
And appreciate they do! The Fall Fest is all about connecting with the people who grow our food. As Jim Perry puts it, "We get to do what we love - growing real food." It's a chance for farmers to show off their hard work and for everyone else to enjoy the taste of fresh, locally grown produce.
