Russia Accuses European Nations of Building Drones for Ukraine

The Russian defence ministry has alleged that several European countries are producing drones or drone components to support Ukraine, a claim it says brings the conflict closer to European borders.

A published list names factories in Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Israel and Poland as alleged contributors. The ministry urges the public to identify these sites, arguing that citizens must understand who is helping Ukraine and what threats they face.

A former Russian president—now a deputy on the security council—tweeted that this list could become a target. He warned of possible future strikes and told European allies to “sleep well, European partners!” The post was framed as a threat rather than an order.

Russian officials routinely speak in vague terms about potential actions against European supporters of Ukraine, preferring warnings over concrete promises of imminent attacks.
