Eric Trump Faces Fact‑Check Over Crypto Claims
The host of MS NOW, Jen Psaki, spent part of her Friday show answering accusations from former President Eric Trump.
Trump posted on X claiming that Psaki was lying about his ties to the crypto company ALT5 Sigma. He alleged that she said he sat on the firm’s board, a claim he denied.
Evidence from Nasdaq Event
Psaki countered with footage from a Nasdaq event last August, where speakers introduced “Eric Trump” as an ALT5 board member and mentioned him as a co‑founder of World Liberty, the Trump family’s crypto venture.
She explained that later SEC documents list Eric only as an observer—a role that allows attendance at board meetings but not voting.
China Connection
The debate also touched on the company’s link to a Chinese chipmaker. U.S. lawmakers warned that the maker is connected to China’s Communist Party, raising concerns about a potential conflict of interest during President Trump’s trip to China.
Psaki questioned whether Eric’s presence on the official visit was appropriate given these ties.
Trump’s Response
Trump replied that he has no business interests in China and that his trip was simply to support his father. He urged viewers to decide for themselves.
White House Stance
The White House has not responded to requests for comment on the exchange.
