Digital Support for Gynecological Cancer Survivors in Indonesia: A Pilot Study

Indonesian women who have survived gynecological cancer often face challenges during chemotherapy, like managing side effects and maintaining quality of life. This study is designed to test a digital health intervention called FoRSHE-X. The goal is to help these women cope better with stress, boost their self-confidence, understand and handle chemotherapy side effects, and improve their sex lives. The research will take place over ten weeks and use social media and telecoaching to educate and support the participants. The study aims to find out if the FoRSHE-X program is practical and liked by the women. It will also track how the program affects their stress levels, self-confidence, side effect management, and sex lives.

Researchers plan to recruit at least 30 women diagnosed with gynecological cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy. They will gather information at three different points during the study, using both numbers (quantitative) and stories (qualitative). The results will be shared at conferences and in scientific journals. This pilot study is a step towards understanding if a larger trial is needed to really see the benefits of FoRSHE-X. The study plan can also help other nurses and researchers use this approach in their own work.
