    The 1974 Game 7 between the Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks was significant.  The Celtics won 102-87.  Dave Cowens had 28 points and 14 rebounds for the Celtics.  This win marked the first Celtics championship without Bill Russell, who retired in 1969.

    The 1970 Game 7 between the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers was inspiring.  The Knicks won 113-99.     The 1955 Game 7 between the Syracuse Nationals and the Fort Wayne Pistons was a close match.  The Nationals won 92-91.  George King led the Nationals in scoring with 15 points, including the game-winning free throw.  Dolph Schayes had 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Nationals.  The Nationals had seven players score in double figures.

    The 1954 Game 7 between the Minneapolis Lakers and the Syracuse Nationals was another close match.  The Lakers won 87-80.
