Dam Nation Battles Blueprint Over Unpaid Deal

Portland, Oregon, USAThursday, April 30, 2026

A group that once represented Oregon State athletes is suing a sports marketing firm for failing to honor a contract. The collective, founded by former team manager Kyle Bjornstad, claims Blueprint Sports promised to purchase it for $166,828.50 and make monthly payments starting in August 2025.

Payment Discrepancies

  • August 2025: $5,000 paid
  • September 2025: $20,091.50 paid
  • January 2026 onward: No payments made

The lawsuit seeks $155,451.61 in damages, covering the original amount, interest, extra fees, and legal costs.

The plaintiffs argue that Blueprint’s failure to pay constitutes a clear breach of agreement, not an optional decision. They emphasize that the contract with Blueprint was negotiated independently of any agreement between Blueprint and Oregon State.

Background

  • University Deal: After the purchase, Oregon State agreed to pay Blueprint $284,000 annually for three years.
  • Criticism & Fallout: The terms drew criticism, led to key staff departures, and the deal was terminated in December 2025.

Current Status

Blueprint Sports has not yet commented on the lawsuit. The plaintiffs claim that Blueprint received what it negotiated but then deliberately stopped payments.
