Crystal Palace Eyes Young Scotsman Ben Doak

It seems like Crystal Palace is really keen on signing Ben Doak, a young forward currently at Liverpool. After their earlier offers were turned down, they're now considering a bigger bid, possibly close to £20m. Liverpool, though, isn't too eager to let go of this promising 19-year-old. Doak, who's on loan at Middlesbrough in the Championship, has been doing great with six assists and two goals in 21 matches. Even though Boro would love to keep him for the rest of the season, interest from other Premier League teams is growing. Palace and Ipswich Town are both showing interest.

Earlier in January, Palace made an offer of £15m, but Liverpool has Doak valued at about £30m. Apart from Doak, Palace is also looking to strengthen their midfield and has their eyes on Lens midfielder, Andy Diouf. However, Lens isn't too keen on selling him right now. Palace is currently 15th in the Premier League, with two wins in their last five games under manager Oliver Glasner. Their next games are against Stockport County in the FA Cup and then Leicester in the Premier League.
