Could Planets Orbit the Black Hole at Our Galaxy's Core?

Imagine this: a planet, just like Earth, but orbiting a supermassive black hole instead of the Sun. Sounds far-fetched, right? Well, scientists are now saying it might be possible. They've discovered a pair of stars near Sagittarius A*, the black hole at the heart of the Milky Way. This discovery is exciting because it suggests that planets could potentially exist in this extreme environment too. Florian Peißker, a researcher at the University of Cologne, Germany, said, "Our discovery lets us speculate about the presence of planets. It seems plausible that the detection of planets in the Galactic center is just a matter of time.
