The tech world is a bit confusing these days, with new platforms popping up left and right. Micro. blog, created by Manton Reece, is a great blend of Twitter's simplicity and personal blogging. This week, Manton launched Micro. one, a $1/month platform that gives you a personal blog on your own domain and lets you post to the fediverse. If you're looking for a new place to share your thoughts, this might be it.

Manton shared his homescreen with us. He uses an iPhone 16 Pro Max, which he finds useful for reading and writing. His wallpaper is black to keep things crisp and readable. His apps include Messages, Phone, Photos, and several others like Spotify, Slack, and two RSS readers, NetNewsWire and Reeder. He keeps notification badges hidden to avoid clutter and has some apps for reading and note-taking.

Manton is currently reading "Wind and Truth" by Brandon Sanderson and using ChatGPT for coding help. He also uses Swarm to check into places and occasionally imports his check-ins into a blog.
