Former U.S. Secretary of State to Speak Privately Before Congressional Group Investigating Jeffrey Epstein

The former U.S. Secretary of State is slated to speak privately before a congressional group probing the late Jeffrey Epstein on Thursday. It remains unclear how much new detail the Clintons will provide.

Hillary Clinton has indicated she has little fresh information and criticized the committee—led by Republicans—for diverting attention from President Donald Trump’s past connections with Epstein.
Both Hillary and former President Bill Clinton initially declined to answer questions from the House Oversight Committee, but agreed to testify only after lawmakers threatened contempt of Congress.
The deposition is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET (1600 GMT) in Chappaqua, New York, near their home.
Bill Clinton will testify at the same time on Friday. A spokesperson for the Clintons did not respond to a request for comment.
Committee chair James Comer (R-KY) has pledged that transcripts of these interviews will be released to the public and noted that evidence gathered so far does not link President Trump to Epstein’s crimes.
