Cheryl Hines & Rob Schneider: Plotting a Conservative TV Show
Saturday, January 4, 2025
After the November election, the Los Angeles Times, a big newspaper in California, saw some major changes. The newspaper's owner, Soon-Shiong, wanted to reach more conservative readers. He hired a conservative commentator and even created a tool to show the newspaper's political bias. This isn't easy, though. Many newspapers are struggling to keep up with new media platforms.
Soon-Shiong has had some tough times. Last year, the newspaper lost over $30 million and had to let go of many employees. Some readers think the newspaper's liberal bias might be why it’s losing subscribers. So, Soon-Shiong is trying something new. He wants to balance things out and maybe even attract more conservative readers.
