Celebrities and Big Names Gather for Women in Entertainment Gala
The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment breakfast gala is set to take place on December 3 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. This year's event promises to be a memorable one, with a lineup of notable speakers and honorees.
Notable Honorees and Speakers
- Gwyneth Paltrow will receive the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award.
- Jennifer Lopez will be honored with the Equity in Entertainment Award.
- The event will be hosted by Rachel Sennott, actress and creator of I Love LA.
Nearly 600 industry leaders and VIPs are expected to attend, making it a significant gathering in the entertainment world.
Keynote and Tributes
- Molly McNearney, head writer and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, will deliver the keynote address. Jimmy Kimmel will introduce her.
- Goldie Hawn will lead a tribute to her longtime friend Diane Keaton, who passed away in October. The two starred together in the 1996 comedy film The First Wives Club.
Scholarship Presentation
One of the highlights of the event will be the presentation of over $1 million in university scholarships to high school seniors from underserved communities. This initiative is part of The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Mentorship Program.
- Dakota Johnson, along with her producing partner Ro Donnelly, will lead this presentation.
- Regina Hall and Chase Infiniti will also participate.
Support and Partnerships
The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation has been a long-time supporter of the Women in Entertainment Mentorship Program. For the 10th consecutive year, the foundation will provide three full-ride scholarships to this year's program graduates. These scholarships include tuition, room and board, and holistic support. To date, the foundation has supported 15 underrepresented graduates with full-ride college scholarships, boasting a 100 percent graduation rate.
The gala coincides with the release of The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment issue, which highlights the Power 100 list of the most powerful female executives and talent in entertainment. The event is supported by various sponsors, including:
