Cat‑Friendly Adventure: Jeju’s New Forest Park

Dolcori Forest, a whimsical new park on Jeju Island, opened in late October. Located on the former Soingook Theme Park grounds, it spans 18,000 pyeong (about 60,000 m²) and invites visitors into a village crafted by cats who have traveled the world.

A Cat‑Led Journey

• Guiding Cats: Five resident felines—Dol‑dol, Coco, Momo, Chichi, and Sasha—lead guests through indoor halls, encouraging them to rediscover joy.
• Cat‑Themed Art: Outdoor gardens display artwork from Korean and international artists, all centered around feline themes.
• Scent of Herbs: The park’s landscaping infuses the air with soothing herbal aromas, creating a tranquil escape.

Playful Attractions

• Miniature Trains & Boats: Small‑scale rides let visitors experience adventures at cat height.
• Wooden Ball Playground: A playful area designed for feline fun.
• Picnic & Library: Nestled under an ancient tree over 30 years old, these spots offer relaxation and reading.

Future Expansion

The creators plan to introduce more sculptures and cat characters, evolving the former miniature park into a comprehensive feline haven.
