The NFL draft is a hotbed of speculation and rumors.  Many of these whispers will fade away, but some might just come true.  In the days leading up to the draft, teams, agents, and media outlets are buzzing with information.  Some of it is true, but most of it is just noise.  The Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants are getting calls for their top picks.  This isn't surprising, given that the talent pool drops off after Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are also in the mix.  They have the youngest GM in the league, and he might be looking to make a big splash.  There's talk that the Jaguars could be interested in moving up in the draft.  Brian Baldinger of The NFL Network hinted at this possibility.  The Jaguars could also move down, but their GM might want to make a statement with his first big move.

So, what could a trade look like?  Let's say the Jaguars move up to the second pick.  In return, the Browns would get the fifth pick, the 36th pick, and the Jaguars' first-round pick in 2026.  This deal could work for both teams.  The Jaguars believe that Hunter is a game-changer.  They think better coaching and health could put their roster back in playoff contention.  The Browns, on the other hand, would be betting on one of the top-five teams from 2024 to struggle in 2025.  This would give them a shot at a top quarterback or packaging the picks to move up and get one.

The Browns have a lot of picks in the later rounds.  They could use these to address their needs.  For example, they could draft a defensive tackle like Mason Graham from Michigan.  Graham could help create a dynamic interior pass rush alongside Michael Hall and Myles Garrett.  In the second round, they could go for a wide receiver like Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State.  Egbuka is an elite route runner with great hands.  He can make defenders miss and is tough over the middle.

The Browns could also use their picks to bolster their offensive line.  Emory Jones from LSU could be a good fit.  He might not start as a rookie, but he has the upside to be a top 10 player by the end of his rookie deal.  In the fourth round, they could draft a safety like Billy Bowman from Oklahoma.  Bowman isn't big, but he has the quickness and speed to cover a lot of ground and make plays.  The Browns have a lot of work to do, but they have the picks to make it happen.
