Camp Countdown: Final Wizards of Science Session

Mid‑America Science Museum is ending its summer program with a final week called Wizarding World of Science. Kids can sign up until Monday, and the camp runs from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. , every weekday for children aged six to twelve. The program is all about hands‑on experiments that feel like magic. Students will watch “flaming phoenixes, ” mix dry ice potions, and play with glow sticks. The activities are designed to be safe while still exciting. The goal is simple: spark curiosity. Educators want kids to keep asking “Why? ” about everything—from why stars shine to how engineers build planes. They believe anyone who asks questions can be a scientist.

Each week focuses on a different topic, and the most recent theme was Star Seekers. Campers learned about the solar system by building rockets, making constellations from pipe cleaners, and designing their own planets. Parents love the science fair that ends each week.
