California's Big Election Day: What's at Stake?

Today, California voters head to the polls for a highly important election. They'll choose their president, senators, and representatives in the U. S. House, as well as state Assembly and Senate members. Plus, there are 10 crucial ballot propositions to decide on. It's quite a lot on the ballot! Many Californians are already sure about who will win the 54 electoral votes for president—it's likely Vice President Kamala Harris. But what's less certain is who will control Congress. In the state Legislature, Democrats are expected to keep their supermajority. However, voters will influence how business-friendly or progressive the Democratic party becomes.
