Some northern New Yorkers in Dutchess and Ulster Counties have already felt the freeze this week. Winds, which can be pretty strong, could make it feel even colder. On Monday, they reached over 50 mph, but are expected to calm down to about 20 mph on Wednesday.

The usual October night temperature in Central Park is around the low 50s, but this Thursday it might be about 10 degrees colder.
