Boston Sports Broadcasters: A Farewell and New Beginnings

This year, Boston said goodbye to three beloved sports broadcasters: Mike Gorman, Jack Edwards, and Joe Castiglione. Together, they served Boston sports fans for over a century. Their departures mark the end of an era, but also the beginning of a new one. Sports fans form a special bond with broadcasters. They can make the biggest moments even more memorable, like Al Michaels did with his iconic call during the 1980 "Miracle on Ice." Gorman, Edwards, and Castiglione have been part of Boston's sports history. They guided us through championships and memorable plays. Gorman saw four Celtics championships and was there for Larry Bird's famous steal. Edwards oversaw three Stanley Cup runs, including a win in 2011. Castiglione uttered the words "Can you believe it?" as the Red Sox broke their 86-year championship curse.
