In 2019, a significant initiative was launched to empower tech startups in India. The TIDE 2.0 Scheme was introduced to foster innovation in cutting-edge technologies like AI, IoT, and blockchain.

More Than Just Financial Support

The scheme offers financial aid, but it goes beyond that. It provides expert guidance and valuable connections to help startups scale up.

Incubators: The Backbone of TIDE 2.0

The scheme supports incubators—specialized hubs where startups get the resources and knowledge they need. There are 51 incubators across India, primarily in universities and research centers.

Protecting Intellectual Property

A standout feature of TIDE 2.0 is the Centers of Excellence in Intellectual Property Rights. These centers assist startups in protecting their innovations through training and support.

Collaboration with Other Government Programs

TIDE 2.0 doesn’t work alone. It collaborates with initiatives like Startup India, creating a strong ecosystem for tech entrepreneurs. The goal? To position India as a global innovation hub.

Government Commitment

Recently, the Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology highlighted TIDE 2.0 in the Rajya Sabha, reinforcing the government’s dedication to nurturing tech startups. With this support, many new businesses can flourish and drive India’s growth.
