The study found two interesting things. First, a higher level of inflammation in the body, measured by something called SIRI, seemed to put people at greater risk for bone problems. This means that when the body is fighting off infections or dealing with inflammation, it might not be as good at keeping bones strong. Second, having a stronger immune response, measured by something called PIV, seemed to protect bones. This means that if the immune system is working well, it might help keep bones healthy.

These findings are important because they show that the immune system and inflammation play a big role in bone health. By understanding this connection better, doctors might be able to find new ways to help prevent osteoporosis in older adults.
