Bird Flu, Ebola, TB Outbreaks and Health Communication Block

The Bird flu, Ebola, and tuberculosis cases started spreading. With so many outbreaks happening, it just shows that disease used to be a distant problem and now it's something we have to worry about locally. It's not a problem for someone else, but for everyone. If you thought the disease outbreaks were bad, imagine if the authorities stop giving us warnings. Yeah, that's what happened. The president decided to stop some of the warnings and advisories from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The block is temporary, but there's no word on how long it will last. This move is worrying because people do not need another reason to be scared. Dr. Jerome Adams, who was the Surgeon General during the previous administration, said "Bird flu spreading like crazy", "Largest tuberculosis outbreak in decades", and "Ebola in Uganda. " The CDC said that the Kansas tuberculosis outbreak is one of the largest in U. S. history. The Bird Flu is currently spreading rapidly. The United States Department of Agriculture reported that there were 98 infected flocks within the past 30 days, with over 15 million birds affected. Farmers are having to cull their flocks to avoid the virus's spread. Since February 2022, over 140 million birds have been affected.

The government's inaction is downright reckless. The president had already decided to temporarily cut ties with the World Health Organization, which has been working on the Ebola outbreak in Uganda. The major problem with this decision is that the World Health Organization (WHO) has already contributed $1 million in aid to the outbreak and without their help its harder for the country to respond to the outbreak. The government's recent restrictions on CDC communications have raised eyebrows. Dr. Jerome Faust, an emergency physician and instructor at Harvard Medical School, called it "Government censorship". The United States’ decision to withdraw from the WHO and halt foreign aid is both worrying and unethical. While in other countries, bird flu in commercial and backyard flocks has been detected in 11 states, and in cows in California. These are the facts, and everyone should be worried, and there's no point in sugar coating it.
