Bird Flu Death: Louisiana's First Case

Imagine this: the first time someone in the United States has died from bird flu. It happened in Louisiana to someone over 65 with health issues and exposure to sick birds. This wasn't just any bird flu case; the virus may have changed inside the person, making them very sick. Since March, 66 infections have been reported in the U. S. , but this is the first death. Globally, over 950 people have caught bird flu, and more than 460 have died. Experts weren't surprised by this death, as the virus has been deadly before.
