Even with rising stakes, most folks stuck to their political guns. Sixty-six to seventy-eight percent of the time, liberals and conservatives saw things differently. And here’s a kicker: folks were sure they were right, even when they weren’t!
So, what does it all mean? It seems that when it comes to new info, people genuinely believe what fits their views. Money’s not enough to change that. This suggests that efforts to cut down on false info might not work as hoped. The beliefs are real, not just for show.
