Türkiye, TurkeyThursday, January 9, 2025
The study involved 175 people hit by the 2023 earthquakes in Turkey. Surveys were conducted to measure both religious health fatalism and healthy lifestyle habits. Results showed average Religious Health Fatalism Questionnaire (RHFQ) scores of 54. 89, with a standard deviation of 14. 68. Healthy lifestyle scores (HLBS-II) averaged 130. 14, with a standard deviation of 19. 68.
Significant correlations were observed between these two factors, with religious health fatalism explaining 35. 7% of the variance in RHFQ scores and 16% in HLBS-II scores. It's clear that high religious health fatalism was common among earthquake victims.
