Banijay Iberia Starts New Sports Division in Spain

The decision to start Banijay Iberia Sports comes after Banijay Iberia CEO Pilar Blasco's initiative. Last year, the company introduced Banijay Sport, and this year, they teamed up with Spain’s top soccer league to create LaLiga Studios. By creating a new sports unit, Banijay Iberia wants to show their commitment to athletic competitions.

Gonzalo Miró started his career in the audiovisual industry by working on short films. He later studied filmmaking in New York and returned to Spain to become a TV presenter. He has since appeared on various Spanish TV and radio shows. Miró is excited about his new role. He said he feels honored to be part of Banijay Iberia and is eager to boost the company’s leadership in sports content. He believes this will attract new talent and create more sports-focused stories. Pilar Blasco, the CEO, also expressed her enthusiasm. She said that the launch of Banijay Iberia Sports is part of a broader global sports drive by Banijay Entertainment.
