Ariana Grande, the pop sensation, is stepping back into the acting world. She is set to star in the upcoming comedy, Meet the Parents 4.  This will be her first major film role since her acclaimed performance in Wicked.  The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on November 25, 2026.

The Meet the Parents series has been a staple in comedy for over two decades. The first movie, released in 2000, was a massive hit. It grossed over $330 million worldwide. The success of the first film led to two sequels, Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers. Together, the franchise has grossed over $1. 13 billion globally.  The original film was a simple story about a man trying to win over his future in-laws.  It was a hit with audiences and critics alike.  It launched Ben Stiller into comedy stardom and showed a new side to Robert De Niro's acting range.

The new installment will feature Grande as the fiancée of Stiller and Polo’s son.  The plot is still under wraps, but sources say it will involve a high-strung fiancée who seems all wrong for the son.  Grande is no stranger to acting. She started her career on the Nickelodeon show Victorious.  Her role in Wicked, released last November, earned her an Oscar nomination and critical acclaim.  The movie grossed nearly $800 million worldwide and won several awards, including best costume and production design.

Grande has been selective about her movie roles. She has turned down numerous offers from major studios.  She even passed on a Warner Bros. comedy where she could have chosen her co-star.  This time, she is excited to join the comedy legends.  The film is being produced by a powerhouse team.  Jane Rosenthal and De Niro are producing through their Tribeca Productions.  Stiller and John Lesher will produce via Red Hour Films.  John Hamburg, who wrote the previous films, is directing this one.  Universal's Matt Reilly and Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project.

Meet the Parents 4 promises to be a hilarious addition to the franchise.  With Grande's star power and the comedic talents of Stiller and De Niro, it's sure to be a hit.
