The TV season of 2025 is already in full swing, but there’s no word yet on when “Law & Order: Organized Crime” Season 5 will start on Peacock. This is the first season as a streaming original, not airing on NBC. The latest episode of SVU gave fans a sneak peek of a mini crossover.  The characters from the three current Law & Order shows crossing over on SVU has got many people thinking about the characters from “Law & Order: Organized Crime, ” which has some of the most interesting characters in the TV universe.

Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay have a long history on screen. They spent more than a decade playing partners on SVU and are still great together. So it is interesting to see them on the same show again.  Seeing their characters together is never boring.  Hargitay and Meloni are known for their great on-screen chemistry.  Fans can always watch the first four seasons of Organized Crime on Peacock, and Tony Goldwyn brings Nick Baxter to SVU.

A few new characters are coming to the show. Jason Patrick from the series Wayward Pines and an actor from Criminal Minds will be joining the team.  Will these new characters bring a different perspective to the show?

The showrunner of Organized Crime recently left, and fans are wondering what that means for the show.  Will the new characters join at the end of the season?  Will they be able to stay?

A promo after the latest episode of SVU showed Tony Goldwyn as DA Nick Baxter meeting with Peter Scanavino.  The promo looked like business as usual for the show, but it was interesting to see characters from other Law & Order shows on SVU.  The promo also gave a hint about Benson’s backstory. This was an intriguing mention.

The next mini crossover between “Law & Order: Organized Crime” and “Law & Order: SVU” is coming.  The show will still focus on sexually based offenses.  Could there be more allusions to Organized Crime in this crossover?  It's unclear if there will be more allusions to Organized Crime in this crossover.  Considering the tone of the show, it is unlikely.

There are some big changes coming to the show.  The showrunner has left, and there are two new characters coming to the show.  Will these changes help the show or hurt it?  Will they bring a new perspective to the show?  What is the timeline for Season 5?  Will it be able to keep the same pace?  Will it be able to keep the same tone?  It is unclear what the departure of the showrunner means for the timeline of Season 5.
