The employees are wondering why, especially since studies show that working from home a few days a week can make people happier and even help the company's stock value.

The employees feel like Amazon isn't being fair by not sharing any solid evidence for this big change. It's like they're being asked to upend their lives based on guesses, not facts. The executive they wrote to even said that if they don’t like it, they can quit, which didn't go over well. Other surveys show that most Amazon employees are really unhappy with this new policy.
