Allergic Alert: Wheat in Tortilla Strips Leads to Recall
USAMonday, November 25, 2024
Luckily, there haven't been any reports of people getting sick. But if you have a wheat allergy, it's better to be safe than sorry. If you bought these strips between September 30, 2024, and November 11, 2024, double-check the bag. The recalled strips were shipped to distribution centers in many states across the country.
If you find you have the recalled strips, don't eat them! Return them to where you bought them for a full refund, or just toss them out. It's not worth the risk.
This isn't the first food recall this month. Organic carrots from big grocery chains like Trader Joe's and Wegmans were also recalled due to a possible E. coli contamination. Even worse, an infant died, and several others were sickened in a listeria outbreak linked to ready-to-eat meat from Yu Shang Food, Inc.
