A Surprising Defense: Lions Lead Vikings 10-6 at Halftime

Instead of an offensive showdown, the first half of the game between the Lions and Vikings turned into a defensive battle. The Vikings have managed just 113 yards despite having three chances to score in the red zone, resulting in only two field goals by Will Reichard. The Lions have 159 yards, with Jahmyr Gibbs scoring the sole touchdown with a 25-yard run. The Vikings had several close calls but only came away with field goals. Cam Akers had a 2-yard run, and Sam Darnold missed all six of his passes on one possession. The Lions were also stopped on a crucial fourth down, giving the Vikings a chance to score again. Reichard's field goal put the Vikings on the board with six points. The Lions opted to go for a field goal as time ran out in the first half, making the score 10-6.

Both quarterbacks are having a tough time. Darnold completed nine out of 20 passes for 93 yards, while Goff completed 13 out of 17 for 115 yards but threw an interception.
