A Restaurant Worker’s Fight for Justice
New Haven, Connecticut, USASaturday, July 4, 2026
In February 2025 he asked about a promised promotion to server.
The manager told him he would be fired if he left.
He was forced to sign a resignation form that made it look like he quit.
The worker filed complaints with the state and federal equal‑employment agencies.
He says the restaurant did not protect him or punish the harassers.
Because of the abuse he now suffers from anxiety and depression.
He is suing for lost wages, emotional pain and punitive damages.
The lawsuit names the restaurant group as the defendant.
A letter was sent to the café for comment.
