Leslie Roberts, 67, found solace here after years of struggling with manic depression, addiction, and homelessness. She's now the kitchen mastermind, planning and cooking meals for 20 members daily. Leslie shares her skills, teaching others how to read food labels, compare prices, and cook safely. "It gives me a purpose, " she says, smiling.

But the kitchen is basic, with hot plates and paper plates due to budget constraints. Donations from Wish Book aim to improve this, buying dining tables for cozy conversations and supporting back-to-work efforts. Membership is voluntary and open to adults diagnosed with certain mental illnesses. They're called "members, " not "patients, " and they help run the Clubhouse together. Activities focus on strengths, not illnesses. It's a safe space where members can connect, learn, and rebuild their lives.
