A beloved location in Albuquerque is set for a comeback. The old Putt-Putt Golf & Games spot at San Mateo and McLeod NE is reopening this spring, sparking excitement among locals.

Brew Lab Takes the Lead

Brew Lab, a local brewery with two locations in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque, is behind this revival. Owner and master brewer Scott Salvas hinted at a sister company working on something special, promising a fun experience for everyone.

A New Era of Mini Golf and Beer

The new spot aims to bring back the joy of mini golf while also serving beer, making it a great hangout for adults. Though the exact name and details are still under wraps, the plan is to open in the spring.

The Legacy of Putt-Putt

Putt-Putt was a cherished spot since 1972, loved by families and school groups. It featured a restaurant, arcade, and a mini golf course with animal statues. The place closed in 2017, leaving a void in the community.

The Garcia Family's Vision

The property is owned by G3 Investors LLC, a real estate company belonging to the Garcia family, who also own Garcia Automotive Group. Carlos Garcia, the general manager, noted the location's prime spot with high traffic and ample parking.

The family explored various ideas for the space, seeking the right tenant to bring it back to life. The working name was Putts and Pints, but the final name could change.

Garcia has fond memories of the old Putt-Putt, where he and his friends loved hanging out. He is excited to see it reborn, promising the new spot will be a hit, just like the original.
