A New Leader Joins Tetra Tech's Board
Tetra Tech, a leading provider of water and environmental services, has announced the addition of M. Susan Hardwick to its board of directors. Hardwick, who recently stepped down as CEO of American Water, will begin her new role on December 29, 2025. She will contribute to the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
A Career of Leadership
Hardwick brings over 35 years of experience in the water and energy sectors. At American Water, she oversaw 6,500 employees serving 14 million customers across 24 states. Prior to her CEO role, she served as Chief Financial Officer, managing financial strategies and operations.
A Strategic Addition
Dan Batrack, Chairman and CEO of Tetra Tech, expressed enthusiasm about Hardwick's appointment. He highlighted her expertise in water utilities and financial planning, which will support Tetra Tech's global expansion and client engagement.
Additional Roles and Background
Hardwick also serves on the board of New Jersey Resources Corporation, an energy company. She began her career at Arthur Andersen, where she gained expertise in accounting and regulatory compliance. She holds a degree in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington.
