Master Sgt. Matthew Livelsberger, a Green Beret from the 10th Special Forces Group, died in a dramatic event on New Year's Day. His email also contained unsubstantiated claims about drone activity. Las Vegas officials found two letters on his phone dealing with various grievances and personal challenges.

Livelsberger's death was ruled a suicide, and he had been diagnosed with depression. Despite his achievements and awards, his personal and mental health struggles led to this tragic ending.
