A Farm Where Faith and Farming Meet

Zeeland's Critter Barn is more than just a place for kids to learn about animals. It's also a place where they can learn about the Bible. One of the ways they do this is through their Live Nativity shows.

The Critter Crew

Every week, from Tuesday to Saturday, a group of kids called the Critter Crew puts on a show. They tell the story of Jesus' birth. The kids are between eight and sixteen years old. They work with the animals and help with the shows.

John McDonald: A Lead Shepherd

John McDonald is one of the kids in the Critter Crew. He is ten years old. He joined this year after a friend from church invited him. John is one of the lead shepherds. He loves his job. He says it makes him happy.

The Experience

Before the show, John leads the audience to the main barn. On the way, they see ducks, goats, chickens, and cows. This gives them a feel for what the first nativity might have been like.

After the show, guests can:

• Explore the grounds and meet more animals.
• Enjoy free hot chocolate.
• Make nativity-themed ornaments.
• Buy fresh donuts.

Show Schedule

The Live Nativity shows will continue until the end of the year. However, there will be some changes to the schedule due to Christmas and New Year's Eve.
